My Journey to Inclusion
From my early days in Deaf classrooms to directing special education programs, my journey has been driven by one goal: accessible and inclusive learning for every student.

Bridging the Gap Through Connection
My journey with ASL began with a passion for Deaf Studies and Educational Interpreting. With over 400 hours spent in Deaf classrooms and experience interpreting everything from daily lessons to theatrical plays, I've seen firsthand how communication creates a sense of belonging.
Now, as a special education program director, I use that background to make elementary classrooms more inclusive every single day. For me, it’s about more than just translation—it’s about ensuring every Deaf and hard of hearing student has a seat at the table and a voice that is heard.
Inclusion in Action
As a special education program director, I bridge the gap between policy and the classroom, ensuring every student has the tools to interact and grow.
Elementary Program Director
Leading daily efforts to create inclusive environments where special education and general classrooms work hand-in-hand.
Inclusive Policy Advocacy
Using my foundation in Deaf Studies to influence district-wide support strategies for hard of hearing students.
Direct Classroom Support
Providing specialized resources and communication modeling to ensure every teacher feels confident supporting every child.
The Heart of My Vision
Inclusive education is more than a strategy; it’s about creating a world where Deaf and hard of hearing students feel a true sense of belonging. My journey from studying Deaf Studies to leading special education programs has taught me that inclusion thrives on the simple, daily practice of kindness and accessible communication.
